Do you know what today is? Well, yes, it is Sunday. And yes, it is time for my ROW80 check-in post. But today also marks a very special event. It is my granddaughter’s first birthday! And as a grandmother – I get bragging rights!

Isn’t she just adorable? Don’t you just wanna hug her?
Unfortunately, they live in Japan so I wasn’t able to be there in person to see all the festivities. But they took tons of pictures for all of us back here in the states. Needless to say, I would be lost without Facebook and Skype to talk with my daughter and her family. Technology has made it possible for me to still be apart of their lives, even living so far away.
But, I suppose that is enough about the cutie pie in the pictures. I need to update you all on my progress this week. I have completed the outline for The Unnamed and I started writing chapter 14. I have had an amazing word count this week – over 5500 words. I am so proud of myself for finally getting in the groove and planting my butt in the chair. It has definitely paid off.
Now I just need to get my butt working out so that would be less of it to plant in the chair! Ah, but it’s about baby steps. And I’m getting there.
There have been some really great blogs this week and I tried to comment on as many as I could before my characters took over my brain. I love reading everyone’s posts. There are so many talented writers and being a part of the WANA community is an awesome blessing. If you’d like to learn more about Kristen Lamb and the WANA principle, be sure to check out her blog.
